 Jesus gives us a promise and a command before He ascended: Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Every follower of Christ is a witness and has a mission. Mark 16:15, "And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation." It is our goal at San Gabriel to be involved in local mission and outside of our local area. This also involves serving the poor and the needy, which gives us a greater opportunity to share the gospel.
