SGPC Youth Group

Our church has a very active youth group that is open to students in 6th through 12th grade. We love to spend time together, discover what God wants us to do with our lives and work to make our world a better place. Throughout the year we have a lot of fun events, including a Mexico Outreach Trip, a Winter Retreat and sleepovers. If you are a student, we would love for you to come and check us out and hope that our group is a place where you make new friends and are challenged in your faith.

Youth Group meets most Friday nights from 7:30 to 10pm and is a great time to get to know other students your age and to learn how to apply your faith to real life. Youth Sunday School meets before church from 9:45-10:45 and includes more in depth Bible study.

Mexico Outreach 2011

Every year the youth group heads down to Mexico and spends a week partnering with a local church in Ensenada. This is always an incredible experience and we have learned so much about faith, about service and about ourselves through this experience. We invite you to watch a short video to hear stories about how God was at work while we were in Mexico and to see some pictures from our trip.

We'd love to have you come with us and we welcome people of all ages to join us. Next year's trip is on July 28 - August 3, 2012, so mark your calendars now!

Youth Group Winter Retreat 2012

Join us on our annual Winter Retreat as we head up to Big Bear and spend the weekend hanging out, playing in the snow and learning more about God. Every year we rent a cabin, bring in a speaker and have fun growing together in our faith and spending time with each other. This year's Winter Retreat is tentatively set for February 17-20, 2012. We hope you can make it!

Children's Ministry PDF  | Print |  E-mail

We have an excellent children’s program run by Judy Moy, our Director of Christian Education.

Children’s Church
Jesus told us to “Let the little children come to me”. Children have a special type of relationship with God and we believe that they should be given the opportunity to be with Him in age appropriate ways. In order to do this, we have recently started a new “Children’s Worship” time at 9:30am. We would like to invite your children, preschool through 5th grade, to join us for a time of singing, story telling and activities.

Children's MinistrySunday School
At 11am children are invited to join their families during the first part of our Worship Service and then are given the opportunity to learn about God at an age appropriate level through Sunday School. During this time, children will hear Bible lessons, memorize verses and participate in crafts and activities. This is always a fun time of learning and we would love for your children to join us next Sunday.

Family Fellowship
Children are also welcome to join our Friday evening small group.  Children stay with their families for worship and sharing, and then attend free childcare while the adults attend Bible study.  During this time, kids play games, make crafts and watch movies.

Nursery
Free childcare for children birth to age 3 is provided during the Worship Service as well as the Adult Education hour.
